Banking Hours
Banks are open from 9.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 5.00pm on Fridays. Automatic Teller Machines are readily available at all other times.

General Retail
Shops are allowed to trade at any time during these "Standard Hours":
- 8.00am-6.00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- 8.00am-9.00pm, Thursday
- 8.00am-5.00pm, Saturday
- 11.00am - 5.00pm, Sun and Public Holidays (not all retailers choose to open on these days.)
- Closed - Good Friday, ANZAC Day and Christmas Day.
Car Yards
This includes any shop where motor vehicles are sold.

Special Retail Shops
These are shops considered necessary for emergency, convenience or recreation supplies and may trade 6.00am and 11.30pm seven days a week. Special Retail Shops include:

Service Stations
These are totally deregulated and can trade 24/7. Most stations operate 7.00am to 7.00pm with at least one station per shire operating 24/7
Bottle Shops, Pubs & Taverns
10.00am to 12.00pm are the basic trading hours for liquor outlets with bottle shops usually closing between 8.00pm and 10.00pm. The Casino and Night clubs have extended trading hours.
